Located at Brgy. Tinamnan, Lucban, Quezon Province, the five-hectare Kamay ni Hesus Shrine is a healing church built under the leadership of Father Joey Ayala Faller. In its chapel, healing masses are conducted every Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:30 in the morning.
A land as large as this, I didn't expect to just see a chapel, beside it is a hill wherein you will take 300 steps to be able to explore the display of life-statues that depict the various important characters and events in the Holy Bible. There is also a huge replica of Noah's Ark that was quite popular with the tourists. As we moved on, we were able to see the different stations of the cross such as The Carrying of the Cross and Crucifixion.
The climb uphill is not a waste of effort and time, because at the top, you will be rewarded by a 'meet and greet' with the 50-feet statue of the Ascending Christ. It is not as tall as Brazil's Christ The Redeemer but this tall statue in Lucban is sure to leave an impact to its visitors.
Kamay ni Hesus would be a great place to visit during the Holy Week as it will refresh your spirit with the different teachings of the Bible. Not also that, as you climb to the top, you will be rewarded by a majestic view of the town of Lucban. Be sure to also try pancit hab-hab before you leave to give you that quick energy fix. :)
